Sometimes upgrading to a smart controller is the right move — but only if you’re comfortable with technology. At its core, it’s a computer. A smart one, but still a computer. If gadgets and apps aren’t your thing, it’s probably not the right fit for you.

It really comes down to your own needs and comfort level. If you want that kind of hands-off, connected control, a smart controller is worth it. If you’d rather have something simple you set once and don’t think about, a standard controller will serve you just as well.
