Why is my sprinkler head leaking? It could be wore out gears, clogged nozzles or broken fittings at the connection. Watch as your zone runs for any big puddles at the base of the sprinkler.

If the leak is at the bottom point of that zone and the sprinklers recently ran, it is normal for water to leave the zone after it is finished because water runs to the lowest point.

Valves can also leak which can let water continue to flow past the valve.
